We’ve had a busy start to the new year. We packed up and said good-bye to our old house and we’re staying with family until our new house is ready. We only moved 20+ miles up the road, closer to our church, family, and the hospital.
Holden, Corbyn, and I are sick at the moment, although, Corbyn must have the Casto genes because she barely shows it. I’m praying that Holden’s doesn’t turn into anything more than a minor cold. In December, he had 1 dose of Synagis (the RSV vaccine), which builds his antibodies, but last week we found out that, because it’s the start of the year, his synagis, after insurance, will cost $3,000! So, we’re just going to have to be extra careful for the rest of flu and RSV season. It’s crazy how something that a critical population needs, can be so expensive.
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far! We are surrounded by a winter wonderland here in WV. If we weren’t sick, it would be a great day to break out the sled!
